Double Ring Illusion (Demo 1/3)
Bai, D., & Strickland, B. The "double ring illusion": The physical constraint of solidity shapes visual processing. Journal of Experimental Psychology: General. Advance online publication. https://doi.org/10.1037/xge0001839

Explanation
Most observers experience an unstable percept:
The rings appear to sometimes move in 180° co-rotations ('flipping' back and forth), sometimes in 360° co-rotations. This multistable percept is normal, since the stimuli are ambiguous.
